Teenage Girl or Midlife Crisis

I think I'm turning into a teenage girl. I just bought a magenta rubber "case" for my iPhone, and I made my own ringtone out of the first 20 seconds of Blister in the Sun. Or it's a midlife crisis, and I should just go buy the damned Mini Cooper, right?

Mini-Cooper! Mini-Cooper! And how did you get that bug on your header? I am fascinated by it.

Mini Cooper... Except don't forget, says this forty-year-old neurotic gal, it's a death trap.

How about something a bit SAFER for your midlife crisis?

Heh.

OMG. I almost knocked my screen off the table trying to smash the bug! Maybe I need new glasses.

I have a pink case for my ipod and now that I've read this I'm thinking I should go download Blister in the Sun.

Yeah, that bug is freaking me out too ;)

The husband has a mini-cooper. Yellow. With a red interior. Who's having a midlife crisis now? They are a lot of fun to drive, but they're no good for long rides, because you feel every crack in the road. Also-- despite their smallness, they are actually safer than many full-size vehicles. They are a BMW, after all.

Glad you love the femmes, too. Though I am more of a Kiss Off fan, myself.

I love that song.

As for the Mini Cooper...screw that, get yourself a Porsche Boxter. Anything rag top, for a mid life crisis. That's what I'm sticking with!

I LOVE that song. Buy whatever the hell you want.

Did you get on the floor during the quiet part of Blister in the Sun?
That song reminds me of college. Well, a drunken summer between semesters anyway.

Get the Mini! Get the Mini! Would you believe that we have 2 of them? I fell in love with the original Austin Minis when I was a kid, and couldn't resist for long when the new versions were offered in the US. Then John kept borrowing my car, because it was so much fun to drive, and we ended up trading in his truck and getting him one, too. We should have parted with one of them when we got our more child-seat-compatible Subaru, but I couldn't bear to part with mine for the trade-in price that was offered. My intention was to sell it myself, but well, I haven't actually put a lot of efforts in that direction. (I love my Mini. I've never felt this way about a car before.)

Oh, and good choice on the ring tone. The Femmes rock. (And Phoebe thinks so too.)

Um, not teenage girl, just showing your age.

Most people I know that have that as a ringtone are over 35....

Just sayin'

But an iphone????? OMG I am so jealous!!!! They are not even available here in Oz yet. And pink covers rock.

Go for the Mini.

Get the Mini so I can live vicariously thru you, k? (I covet a soft top jeep. It's gonna be mine when I turn 40, I just know it).

And an Iphone? Me and my Blackberry are jealous.

Get the Minim and then get in it and drive my way. Play whatever music you want on the way. :)

An iphone, a case, cool ringtones, and a mini-cooper. You aren't a kid, you're the coolest blogger I know.

I'm soooo jealous.

That bug is awesome. As are the Violent Femmes.

I probably just dated myself by using the word "awesome," huh?

Ah, Blister in the Sun. I can't count how many evenings I spent dancing to that one while mildly blitzed out of my mind.

And I vote for the Mini-Cooper! Love those cars.

Now I want a "Blister in the Sun" ringtone too! (Apparently midlife is contagious.)
